Shakhtar Donetsk boss Luis Castro has warned Atalanta that his side are in form. “We’ve achieved nine consecutive victories…”

Castro replaced Paulo Fonseca over the summer after the latter moved to Roma, but the change has not affected Shakhtar’s domestic dominance as they have started the Ukrainian campaign with a 100 percent record.

“The result will be very important tomorrow. We want to bring home some points,” he said at a Press conference for tomorrow’s Champions League clash at San Siro.

“Atalanta are a very strong team, who tighten up at the back after scoring. We’ll have to be ready for this type of game, ensuring we’re ready for any eventuality.

“We’ll try to keep possession of the ball to put them in trouble, using the wings. I have clear ideas and I want to pass them on to my players.

“For us, there are results that speak for themselves: we’ve achieved nine consecutive victories.

“The Champions League is the most important competition, the best teams are in it. Each League is different to the others: national competitions can’t be compared with each other.

“Maliovskyi’s a great player, but we’re ready to face any player. It’s a complicated group, but tomorrow won’t be decisive: the third game will be.”
