Bologna assistant coach Emilio De Leo says they lacked an end product in their defeat against Torino. “We made wrong choices at the last hurdle.”

The Rossoblu went down to a goal from the Granata’s Alex Berenguer, and De Leo believes they didn’t warrant a defeat.

“We had a lot of chances, we dominated and controlled the game, but if we don’t score then we must only blame ourselves,” said De Leo in his press conference.

“We missed the final thrust, we made wrong choices at the final hurdle. We were better in the second half, but just needed a goal.

“In the first half we were not lucid in making the correct choices and we had to have more personality in the game.

“For Torino’s goal we didn’t mark well, and lost their references.”

New signing Nico Dominguez came on for the Rossoblu with ten minutes to go, so how did De Leo rate his contribution?

“He has great speed and technique, and above all he is good at making the correct choice. He can speed up our play and can find space vertically.”

Bologna are having a difficult time scoring goals, and De Leo suggests they need alternatives in attack.

“Of course we need more attackers, it would give the chance for other players to catch their breath.”
