Inter chief Beppe Marotta believes player prices will fall and “there could be more swap deals” because of the coronavirus pandemic.

Market prices had spiked after Neymar’s €222m transfer to Paris Saint-Germain from Barcelona in 2017 but, with the season ground to a halt as the world fights off COVID-19, clubs are suffering losses of earnings.

“Beyond the dates that are still to be determined, I think it will inevitably be a poorer market so there could be more swap deals,” Marotta told Tuttosport.
