Juventus have reportedly told Paul Pogba he needs to take a pay cut if he wants to leave Manchester United for a return to Turin.

According to Tuttosport and the Corriere dello Sport, the Bianconeri intend to introduce a salary cap of €9m per season for new signings.

That means Pogba’s current €12m per year wage would go outside their financial plans, so he’d have to cut it down.

Another issue is with the transfer fee, as Manchester United are continuing to ask for at least €100m.

That can be reduced with the inclusion of other players in part-exchange, such as Douglas Costa, Adrien Rabiot or Aaron Ramsey.

While Manchester United would like to bring Alex Sandro or Merih Demiral into the equation, Juventus have no intention of selling them.
