Max Allegri is considering his next career move, but Livorno President Aldo Spinelli confirms he has offered to ‘help’ save his hometown club.

Former Milan and Juventus boss Allegri has been heavily linked with the jobs at PSG and Manchester United after finishing his Sabbatical.

Along with that course of action, he could take on a different role with Serie B strugglers Livorno.

President Spinelli was in the process of selling the club before investor Majd Yousif saw his Dutch offices raided by police, ruining the takeover.

Along with that course of action, he could take on a different role with Serie B strugglers Livorno.

President Spinelli was in the process of selling the club before investor Majd Yousif saw his Dutch offices raided by police, ruining the takeover.

“I’ll meet Allegri either tonight or tomorrow morning in Monte Carlo,” Spinelli told GianlucaDiMarzio.com.

“We’ll see what happens, I can’t tell you now what the situation is, but over the last few days he assured me there will be support. He said we need to put together a great squad and he is ready to lend a hand. That was truly pleasing to hear.”

Spinelli has warned he and his family still want to sell the club this summer, so Allegri in theory could take over the club or simply become a minor investor.

“Allegri really cares about Livorno, it’s his home town and his family still lives here. As for the future, we won’t make decisions until after the season is finished, then we’ll see.”

Livorno are currently bottom of the Serie B table with just 18 points from 28 rounds.
