Lazio assistant manager Massimiliano Farris, standing in for suspended Simone Inzaghi, praised their ‘mentality and spirit of sacrifice’ after another comeback win at Torino.

Once again, the Aquile went behind only to turn it all around through Ciro Immobile and Marco Parolo.

“The team showed real spirit of sacrifice, especially the forwards,” Farris told Sky Sport Italia after the 2-1 victory.

“We created chances throughout the game and at the end of the day, the quality shone through. We are growing in terms of fitness, we overturned two dangerous matches against Fiorentina and Torino, so the lads are proving they have the right mentality.”

However, Immobile and Felipe Caicedo will be suspended for the next test against Milan, leaving Lazio with precious few options.

“It’s a pity about Immobile’s yellow card, but we know these are the rules for handball, even if Ciro was from point-blank range. Unfortunately, we won’t have the injured players back soon, although Danilo Cataldi and Adam Marusic might be available against Milan.

“We’ll see if we have Joaquin Correa as a centre-forward with support, or potentially change system.”
