La Dea travel to the Giuseppe Meazza to face Antonio Conte's side on Monday.

"If there is the law of averages, we will succeed sooner or later," Gasperini told at a press conference.

"Tomorrow’s game will say a lot about our conditions, we face a team who are deservedly on top of the table, they have a good gap on Juventus, they are a strong candidate to win the title, but there are still 13 games left," the coach added.

Inter and Atalanta have the best attacks in Serie A.

“It’s a great satisfaction to have the best attack. It gives us self-esteem and proves many players can score.

“This team is giving me satisfaction. It is too early to make judgements, but we are building something important.

“Everyone feels well. There is a good environment. The last games we played against Inter were positive. Inter and Juve have something more than us, but we have been close to closing the gap in the games we played against them.

“Only Hateboer and Sutalo are not available. We think about ourselves. Tomorrow we face the table leaders in a crucial match for us.

“If we have a good attitude in Milan, we can get more self-confidence," he added.

“Single players will be important, but collective performance is crucial. If we can limit their strikers, we’ll have more chances.

“We should not concede space to Hakimi, while Gosens has evolved tactically. Their clash on the flank will be of the things to watch in the game.”

CONMEBOL have announced they’ve decided to postpone the 2022 World Cup qualifiers that were planned for later this month.

“It’s good news, but we have the same problems with other teams in England and Germany,” Gasperini said.

“Other players will leave for two weeks and return on Friday to play a League game on Saturday. It’s very complicated.”
