Daniele De Rossi is adamant that Roma will have a bright future despite their inconsistencies this term.
The club vice-captain has committed himself to the outfit by signing a new contract until 2017 and he’s convinced that the Giallorossi are on the path to glory.
“Things at the minute are not the best, but we hope that will change in the future,” the midfielder told Sky Sport Italia.
“We are starting to lift our heads again after a difficult beginning, but the road has been difficult with the highs and lows.
“I’m optimistic though because nobody has doubted this squad or the project in place.”
The Stadio Olimpico outfit have struggled for consistency, but last night’s victory against Genoa saw them move to within four points of third place Lazio and next season’s Champions League.
“The League table is speaking clearly,” De Rossi continued. “However, I think we have the players to be higher and we’ll work until the very end to climb some positions.”
