There are reports this evening that Juventus and Milan could exchange Federico Bernardeschi with Alessio Romagnoli.

Both players have struggled to win over the fans this season and their contracts are running down, set to expire in June 2022.

According to Goal.com, the two clubs are therefore considering a straight swap.

Romagnoli has lost his place to Fikayo Tomori, despite being the captain of the Rossoneri side, and is considered too slow to work in Stefano Pioli’s 4-2-3-1 formation.

On the other hand, Bernardeschi has been used everywhere from a winger to a trequartista, a False 9, a central midfielder and even lately a full-back at Juventus.

If he went to Milan, the Italy international would have more of a regular role in positions suited to him, as part of the trio supporting the centre-forward.

This is not the first time that the two clubs have been linked with these players, as a potential exchange was already discussed last season.

That is also probably because they are both represented by the same agent, Mino Raiola.
