Luis Enrique believes his Roma side are capable of beating League leaders Milan, but that it would take ‘a perfect game’ to do so.

The Giallorossi go into the Saturday evening encounter off the back of two 1-0 League wins and actually with a better than average recent record away to the Rossoneri.

However, where Spanish Coach Enrique believes that his team are capable this weekend of collecting what would be a fifth win from their last seven visits to face Il Diavolo, he is under no illusion as to how that can be achieved.

However, where Spanish Coach Enrique believes that his team are capable this weekend of collecting what would be a fifth win from their last seven visits to face Il Diavolo, he is under no illusion as to how that can be achieved.

“We can beat a team like Milan,” the former Barcelona B Coach admitted to the assembled Press on Friday.

“But we have to play at 100 per cent, or almost a perfect game, with no errors.

“To win at San Siro would be a major confidence boost, but to do that we have to play at an incredible level.”

Enrique was asked if Massimiliano Allegri’s side might have one eye on the midweek Champions League clash with Barcelona.

“Maybe, but I guess not, they do not make this sort of mistake, they know they are all important matches to reach the end.

“However, I do not know if it will be easier for us to win at San Siro or for Milan to eliminate Barcelona in the Champions League, we’ll see.

“For us, however, the game comes at a good time, we are close to third place. Now begins the fun part of the League, which will determine what we do next year, and this is a motivation for the players.”
