Luis Enrique feels he “could not have asked for more” from Roma after their defeat to Milan. “Zlatan Ibrahimovic was decisive.”

The Giallorossi were 1-0 up at half-time thanks to Pablo Daniel Osvaldo, but an Ibra brace turned it around for the 2-1 result at San Siro.

“There is no particular problem to point out and I could not have asked for more from my team,” said the Spanish Coach.

“It was a good game. Ibrahimovic was decisive in the second half, but we played a complete match. I think my central defenders did very well, as Ibrahimovic is extremely difficult to mark.

“I am not 100 per cent happy with the first half performance, as we could’ve done better in keeping possession. We came close to the result, but these games are decided by minor details and we still have to improve in that respect.

“Don’t forget we were playing away to the Serie A leaders and reigning Scudetto holders.”

Milan face Barcelona in the Champions League quarter-finals on Wednesday, so will Pep Guardiola call his former Barcelona B manager for advice?

“As long as it’s not too late,” smiled Luis Enrique. “If he calls, then I’ll be the one to ask him for advice!”
