Pioli expects steady Bologna

Bologna have a relegation clash with Atalanta in the lunch-time kick-off and Stefano Pioli is confident they can “continue along this path.”

The Rossoblu have been in splendid form so far in 2012 and a victory today would put them within one point of the safety mark generally believed to be at 40.

“We are coming from a long and tiring journey, but we’re on the right track and want to continue along this path,” said the Bologna Coach.

“The results are never a coincidence and represent the right attitude taken by my team. I am convinced we will not give in, as we are motivated and ambitious. Against Atalanta it is a proper Bologna game.

“Both teams have similar characteristics and I expect a battle on every ball. Stefano Colantuono and his team must be applauded, as they never really dropped off the pace since the start of the season.

“The only teams to win in Bergamo were Milan and Juventus. They are without German Denis, but watch out for Manolo Gabbiadini, who has everything needed to become a top level striker.”
