Roma will be without influential forward Fabio Borini for at least the next two weeks because of injury.

The Italian international, just 20, has picked up a left hamstring problem that may keep him sidelined for as long as 21 days.

Borini, replaced after 57 minutes during his club’s 2-1 loss at Milan on Saturday, has scored nine goals in 19 League games for the Giallorossi.

The former Chelsea forward joined Roma on loan in the summer from Parma, before the capital club bought a 50 per cent stake in him at the start of 2012.

Meanwhile, Roma have also confirmed that reserve goalkeeper Bogdan Lobont, 34, will be out of action for up to six weeks with a knee problem.
