Nicola Legrottaglie feels he had a part to play in Milan’s Scudetto success last term – despite appearing in just one game.
The now Catania stopper, who will face the Rossoneri on Saturday, joined the San Siro outfit in January 2011 from Juventus only to be injured on his debut.
“I was there for just six months and I only featured in the match against Lazio, but that Scudetto feels like mine too given my contribution in training,” the 35-year-old told the Gazzetta dello Sport.
The deeply-religious player moved to Sicily in the summer and he’s aware of who will be Milan’s biggest threat at the Massimino.
“Milan have champions in every department,” continued the former Italian international. “But Zlatan Ibrahimovic is a hard guy to mark.
“I didn’t really get to know him that well outside of the pitch, but he is the strongest athlete in Serie A.”
Legrottaglie has scored four goals in 23 games for the Elefanti so far this season.
