Miccoli on compassionate leave

Fabrizio Miccoli will miss Palermo’s game with Bologna due to compassionate leave. “He was very shaken.”

The captain has been left out of the Rosanero squad travelling to the Stadio Dall’Ara on Sunday afternoon.

“His father-in-law was taken ill, so we decided not to bring Fabrizio with us to Bologna, because he was very shaken,” explained team manager Christian Panucci.

“He is on his way to Lecce to be with his family and we all feel very close to him.”

Federico Balzaretti is also out of this game due to a left thigh problem.

Palermo squad: Brichetto, Tzorvas, Viviano; Aguirregaray, Labrin, Mantovani, Milanovic, Munoz, Pisano; Acquah, Alvarez, Barreto, Della Rocca, Donati, Ilicic, Migliaccio, Vazquez, Zahavi; Budan, Hernandez, Mehmeti
