Bologna have lost promising young midfielder Rene Krhin, who is on Inter’s books, for around five months after he damaged knee ligaments.
The 21-year-old Slovenian international was sent to Bologna on a co-ownership deal in July 2010.
He has been diagnosed with a snapped anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee after limping off during the 3-1 home defeat to Palermo on Sunday.
Krhin will undergo surgery over the next few days and is expected to be out of action for around five months.
