Cassano makes Milan comeback

Antonio Cassano made his comeback today playing in Milan’s friendly test against the youth team.

The Italian international was given the all-clear by medics this week to resume his playing career after undergoing surgery for a congenital heart defect in October.

He took part in a 45-minute match against the youth team, made up of three 15-minute spells, and Cassano partnered Maxi Lopez with support from Stephan El Shaarawy.

Maxi got a brace, while El Shaarawy and Gianluca Zambrotta also scored in the 4-2 victory.

Mark van Bommel and Thiago Silva are highly unlikely to be back in the next week, while Alexandre Pato still requires tests after limping off just 13 minutes into his comeback against Barcelona.
