Genoa want Juventus flop Elia

Juventus are barely using summer signing Eljero Elia, so Genoa have joined a list of German clubs hoping to sign him for €7m.

Elia was brought in from Hamburger SV in August for €9m and signed a four-year contract, but has found very little space in Antonio Conte’s side.

The 25-year-old Dutch international has made just four appearances in all competition this season, only one of them from the start, for a total 124 minutes of football.

Genoa are reportedly showing an interest in giving Elia another shot at making his mark in Serie A, which would allow Juventus to loan him out.

A return to Germany is also an option, as the likes of Borussia Dortmund, Schalke 04 and Wolfsburg are all willing to take him on.
