Marcello Lippi will return to football after agreeing to take charge of Chinese outfit Guangzhou Evergrande.
According to the Corriere della Sera, the out of work Viareggino will net an annual salary of around €10m.
Lippi led Italy to World Cup glory in 2006, but he hasn’t been in a job since the Azzurri’s disastrous defence of that title in 2010.
The former Juventus boss did recently admit that there was interest in him from Guangzhou, but he denied an agreement.
