Bari are not surprised by reports linking boss Vincenzo Torrente with a possible job in Serie A next season.
The former Genoa defender, 46, moved to the Stadio San Nicola last summer when he signed a one-year deal after impressing at Gubbio.
“It’s only normal that Torrente, given his good work at Bari, is wanted by clubs in the top flight,” sporting director Guido Angelozzi noted.
“If he does end up in Serie A then we would be most pleased for him. It would also show that we made the right decision in choosing him.
“Should a move up for him not occur then we will sit around a table and evaluate our options. He’s certainly an excellent Coach.”
Torrente, previously linked with Palermo, has been unable to turn the Serie B Galletti into promotion candidates, but they don’t risk dropping down into the third tier either.
