The young defender has struggled for form and fitness this term for the Nerazzurri and in recent weeks has found himself down in the pecking order at the club and regularly sat on the bench.

La Gazzetta dello Sport suggest that the 24-year-old is reluctant to stay at the San Siro side in 2012-13 if the same situation threatens to manifest itself again.

Previously linked with a move to Torino, who could be back in Serie A next season under Giampiero Ventura, a former boss to Ranocchia at Bari.

La Gazzetta are suggesting that the player’s other preferred destinations would be Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain.

Both clubs would also represent a link-up with a former tactician of the Italian international’s, with Ranocchia having spent 2008-09 with Antonio Conte at Bari and 2010-11 at Inter under PSG’s sporting director Leonardo.
