Juventus director general Beppe Marotta insists they “never discussed” a summer swoop for Alessandro Nesta, who could miss Chievo-Milan tonight.
There are reports that the Bianconeri are preparing an offer for the 36-year-old defender, who will be a free agent at the end of the season, effectively repeating the passage of Andrea Pirlo.
“Nesta? We never discussed him,” smiled Marotta when asked about the rumours.
Meanwhile, Nesta is reportedly a major doubt to start tonight’s midweek round at the Bentegodi.
As the Rossoneri are already missing 13 players, they could be forced to field 20-year-old Mattia De Sciglio and ex-Chievo centre-back Mario Yepes.
