Disgruntled fans vent Genoa anger

Around 300 Genoa fans protested against the team after last night’s 1-1 draw with Cesena which leaves them in serious relegation trouble.

The Rossoblu are just one place and two points above the drop zone after failing to win for the tenth match running.

Disgruntled supporters vented their anger towards the players outside of the gates at the Stadio Luigi Ferraris.

The Rossoblu tifosi applauded the Cesena side as their team bus left the arena, but Genoa’s players had to wait until well after midnight to get away from the ground.

To make matters worse, President Enrico Preziosi was taken to hospital before the game after feeling unwell.

He was released after a series of medical checks, but will now spend the next few days resting in Milan.
