Two possible scenarios have emerged for Alessandro Del Piero as the Italian media speculate over the Juventus hero’s future.
The veteran’s contract in Turin will expire in the summer and the club announced last October that the 37-year-old would be moving on.
However, after some recent crucial goals against Milan, Inter and Lazio, there are calls for the club to make a U-turn.
According to the Corriere dello Sport, Juventus are now considering offering the player a new one-year deal until June 2013.
The Gazzetta and Tuttosport are taking a different view, though, as they are suggesting that the player will leave Turin – but then possibly return.
The idea is that the former Italian international would move to America, but then come back on loan to Juventus – or another European club – during the winter months.
Both David Beckham and Thierry Henry have made similar moves in the past to Milan and Arsenal respectively.
The No 10 has scored four goals in 23 games across all competitions for the Old Lady so far this season.
