Stevan Jovetic has shot down transfer gossip as Fiorentina fight to stay in Serie A. “I dream of becoming the Viola’s version of Francesco Totti.”
The Montenegro international has repeatedly been linked with a move away in the summer, especially as the Tuscans risk relegation.
“We do not deserve to be in this position, as we threw away so many points at the last minute. Now we must not be afraid, as we must play and win. We will secure safety,” he told the Corriere dello Sport.
“Can I become a symbol of Fiorentina? I dream of becoming the Viola’s version of Francesco Totti. I want to play in Europe, but to do it here in Florence.
“Every time I am asked when I will leave Fiorentina. I signed a contract until 2016 and if I’m not mistaken we are still in 2012, right? I want to try to win with Fiorentina.”
