Catania have confirmed an interest in Chilean talent Junior Fernandes, but insist “there are no negotiations at this time.”
There are reports in South America that the Sicilians are eyeing Universidad de Chile striker Junior Fernandes for a possible move to Serie A.
“Yes, we viewed the player in Chile,” confessed Elefantini director general Pietro Lo Monaco.
“We know and respect his qualities, but there are no negotiations to bring him to Catania at this time.”
Fernandes is thought to be worth around $5m and is a 23-year-old Chilean international with Brazilian parents.
