Javier Zanetti is still going strong at Inter and reveals the secret of his success. “I live day by day and enjoy what I do.”
The captain at age 38 is older than current Coach Andrea Stramaccioni, but remains the first name on the team list with over 750 appearances for the club.
“One of my secrets is perhaps that I live day by day, so I don’t like to plan anything,” he told Inter Channel.
“I enjoy what I do and find happiness in the small things. I hope to always continue living like this.”
Although Zanetti has been at Inter for well over a decade, he only recently began winning silverware, most notably the Champions League in May 2010.
“My face when I lifted that trophy will remain with me for the rest of my life. It was the summation of so many different sentiments from previous years that I had pulled together.”
