Cristian Chivu and his agent will hold talks with Inter tomorrow to discuss the 31-year-old’s future.
The defender is only contracted to the club until June which means he will move on a Bosman free transfer if he doesn’t sign a new deal.
“I can confirm that we will be meeting with them on Thursday,” agent Giovanni Becali told FC Inter News.
“We’ll discuss Cristian’s future, but I have no idea what will happen. We’re not sure whether we will be offered a renewal or be told that they no longer want him.”
The left-back would be a tempting player on the market given his free status, but his representative insists that they’ve not pondered a summer switch.
“A lot of clubs want him, but we haven’t spoken with anyone,” Becali noted.
“We’ll see what Inter tell us and then we’ll move as is appropriate. There is not too long to wait now…”
