Reja rues Lazio luck

Lazio boss Edy Reja claims it’s “just one of those seasons” after the shock 2-1 loss at Novara this afternoon.

The Biancocelesti were looking for a victory which would cement their place in third, but fell to defeat against their relegation-threatened opponents.

“Everything is going against us,” noted the tactician. “I can’t seem to do anything about it and I don’t know who to blame.”

The capital club were again without injured top scorer Miroslav Klose and that was evident at the Stadio Piola.

“The strikers are not scoring and that is not a new thing,” continued the former Napoli boss. “We’re struggling because we’re not putting away our chances.”

Midfielder Antonio Candreva netted this afternoon, but he’ll now be missing for the tie against Udinese.

“He was booked today so he’ll be suspended. I’m not used to complaining, but evidently this is not our year.”

Since January, Lazio have won eight, lost nine and drawn one in Serie A.
