The 2006 World Cup winner joined the Rossoneri in 2002 from hometown club Lazio” data-scaytid=”7″>Lazio. He’s won every major trophy with the San Siro giants since then, apart from the UEFA Cup.

Nesta, 36, hasn’t been a regular in Massimiliano Allegri’s plans this term given that he’s appeared in just 14 Serie A games.

However, the centre-back did feature in seven of the club’s Champions League ties this season.

It is believed that Milan were ready to offer him a 12-month extension, but the stopper wants to work in a less pressurised atmosphere.
