Napoli ‘keeper Morgan De Sanctis is eager to return to the Champions League. “We want third place.”
The Azzurri reached the last 16 of the competition this term before Chelsea, this season’s finalists, beat them after extra-time.
“We have to defeat Roma on Saturday because we are targeting third place,” stated the goalkeeper. “That is our primary objective.
“I wouldn’t be disappointed to play in the Europa League, but I want another shot at the Champions League with this shirt.
“At the end of the season we’ll see where we have finished, but right now we have to think about just winning.”
Napoli are fourth, but only one point behind Lazio with four games of the campaign left to go in the championship.
“We’re concentrating on the League,” the Italian continued. “The May 20 Coppa Italia Final against Juventus is still some time away, we can think about that later.”
Roma entertain Napoli tomorrow night.
