Benassi: Lecce up to Juve task

Juventus could win the Scudetto in midweek if results fall their way, but Wednesday opponents Lecce are determined not to roll over.

The Bianconeri know that a win over the Salentini in Turin coupled with an unlikely defeat for Milan at home to Atalanta would seal the League title. Otherwise, a win over Lecce and then over Cagliari at the weekend will be enough.

However, as Giallorosso goalkeeper Massimiliano Benassi declares, beating Lecce is not a certainty.

“I would say that Juventus deserve to be top,” opened the 30-year-old to TuttoJuve.com.

“The fact is that Juve have improved more in one year, whilst the others have all remained at the same level.

“Will we determine the Scudetto? Not at all. We want to win to save ourselves and to redeem the past two matches.

“We have played a great second round of the season and we want to complete the comeback for survival.

“Against Juventus it will be tough, but we are up for the task.”
