Reports in Canada are suggesting that Marco Di Vaio will leave Bologna for Montreal Impact at the end of the season.
The almost 36-year-old will bring his Stadio Dall’Ara career to a conclusion in June despite having another year left to run on his contract.
It is being claimed that Di Vaio’s wife flew to North America at the beginning of April to look for a house.
Montreal, who also have Matteo Ferrari and Bernardo Corradi in their ranks, could make the move official in mid to late May.
Di Vaio, formerly of Lazio, Parma, Juventus, Valencia, Monaco and Genoa, is a hugely popular figure at Bologna.
He joined the club in 2008 and his goals have helped maintain their top-flight status over the years.
The former Italian international has grabbed 10 Serie A goals in 34 games so far this term.
