Andrea Bertolacci may have benefited from Gigi Buffon’s mistake, but the Lecce man is hoping it doesn’t cost Juventus the Scudetto.
The 21-year-old dispossessed the goalkeeper late in the game to score Lecce’s equaliser in their unexpected 1-1 draw in Turin.
“Buffon gave me a high-five at the end of the game,” stated the Roman. “There was disappointment there and I hope that what has happened won’t compromise their campaign.
“We were down to 10-men and I just attacked him.
“We looked to give it our all and there is great satisfaction that we got a point. We are fighting for survival and we’ll keep working hard until the very end.”
The Old Lady are now just one point ahead of Milan at the top of the table with two games left this season.
