Diego Fabbrini will remain at Udinese next season despite so far failing to become a regular first teamer at the Stadio Friuli.
The 21-year-old attacking midfielder scored in the 1-0 win at Cesena on Wednesday, but that was only his 12th Serie A appearance of the season.
“He is a player who is growing and, like all youngsters, he needs the faith of the club,” agent Beppe Galli told TMW.
“His future has to be in Udine as they are one of the few clubs who are willing to give youth a chance.”
The Under-21 international, who has spent the last two seasons at Empoli, has also been used in eight Europa League ties and one Coppa Italia game this term.
