Alberto Zaccheroni has underlined that Massimiliano Allegri has done enough to keep his job at Milan.

Alberto Zaccheroni has underlined that Massimiliano Allegri has done enough to keep his job at Milan.

Allegri’s future has been placed into some doubt amid speculation that President Silvio Berlusconi is not convinced of his abilities.

Zaccheroni, who himself won a title with the Rossoneri before Berlusconi dismissed him, thinks it would be a mistake to release the former Cagliari tactician.

“Allegri certainly deserves to be confirmed for next season,” the Japan boss told Sky Sport Italia on Friday.

“After winning the title last season, the worst case scenario this time around is that the team finishes second with all of the problems it has had…”

Milan are just one point behind Juventus with two games left. They will play Inter on Sunday, a club who have also yet to confirm who will be their Coach next term.

“I don’t know what Inter will decide when it comes to Andrea Stramaccioni,” Zac, who bossed the Nerazzurri too, noted.

“In terms of my experiences, I would find it difficult to say that Massimo Moratti has already made a decision.”

Stramaccioni this morning said the opposite in an interview with the Gazzetta dello Sport.
