“It was something we have to do, because the Nazionale is the symbol of our country,” said FIGC President Giancarlo Abete.

“Thanks to the work of Prandelli and his focus on values, the team is becoming an important ambassador for this nation.

“We will go to Auschwitz to honour and remember those who lost their lives there.”
