Palermo insist on Dybala deal

Palermo President Maurizio Zamparini insists he has “bought Paulo Dybala’s contract” and is likely to poach Siena manager Giuseppe Sannino.

The Rosanero caused controversy last week when Zamparini announced he had signed Argentine striker Dybala, but his club Instituto assured the man he negotiated with did not have the mandate to sell the player.

“We bought Dybala’s contract. Clearly now the agent is doing the usual tricks to raise the price-tag,” assured Zamparini on Stadionews.

“If he is to join another club, then we will earn €5-6m. I don’t believe there are problems on his arrival, because we paid €3m.

“I wanted to send a signal to the fans that Palermo are investing in the future, but next time I won’t make such an announcement.”

The patron was ready to talk about next season, as he has agreed a deal with Siena director Giorgio Perinetti and possibly Coach Sannino too.

“Sannino? That’s a decision we will make with Perinetti over the next few days. I already wanted to take Perinetti last year, but out of respect for Siena President Massimo Mezzaroma I held back. This year we have an agreement with Siena.

“I’m very happy Perinetti is coming to Palermo, as I am not in the city much anymore and we need a director of his level.”

The Sicilians recently hired Christian Panucci as a director, but he resigned after 34 days due to repeated clashes with Zamparini.
