Francesco Guidolin maintains “Napoli are favourites for third place” as his Udinese take on relegation strugglers Genoa.
The two teams are level in third, followed by Lazio and Inter in the passionate chase for a Champions League spot.
“With the direct confrontations, Napoli are in front. In my view, Napoli are the favourites. That is not to put pressure on the others, but rather because they are built to achieve very important targets,” argued the Coach.
“Tomorrow’s game is going to be very tough, as Genoa are a side of quality who did not expect to be in this position.”
It is a very special day for Guidolin, as with his 478th Serie A match he becomes one of the top 10 Coaches in the history of this tournament.
“It’s pleasing and an important achievement. The first thing that comes to mind is that it means I am now getting old,” he joked.
