Palermo chief Maurizio Zamparini says he’s made a decision on their new Coach, while he’s discussed the futures of Fabrizio Miccoli, Matias Silvestre and Federico Balzaretti.
Bortolo Mutti was appointed as tactician in December when he replaced Devis Mangia, but he’s expected to be moved out when his contract expires in June.
“I’ve already chosen the new Coach,” the Rosanero official told GR Parlamento. “However, I won’t reveal his name...”
Whispers suggest that Siena boss Giuseppe Sannino is in pole position for the Stadio Barbera hotseat.
Zampa was also questioned on three of the club’s most gifted and important players.
“Miccoli could earn a lot more in Dubai than he does here, so I wouldn’t block his exit if that is what he wanted,” he added. “It will be up to him whether he stays or not.
“Centre-back Silvestre? There are two Italian and two German clubs after him.
“As for Balzaretti, he will only leave if Paris Saint-Germain make an offer given that his wife works in Paris.”
