Agent to Morgan De Sanctis and Samir Handanovic has discussed both goalkeepers’ potential futures at Napoli.

Current shot-stopper at the San Paolo is De Sanctis, who has missed just one League game for the Vesuviani since joining them in 2009 from Galatasaray.

Now 35, the former Udinese man and his club are both keen to continue their relationship beyond this season, says the player’s representative.

“There is a commitment in principle with [sporting director Riccardo] Bigon to talk about his future after the Coppa Italia final,” Federico Pastorello reiterated on Radio Kiss Kiss Napoli.

“Napoli has confirmed their willingness to meet with us.”

Pastorello also represents another of the top flight’s notable goalkeepers, Handanovic, and didn’t rule out the possibility of the Udinese man moving to Napoli to one day replace De Sanctis.

“I cannot confirm Handanovic is going to Napoli. Undoubtedly Samir is one of the best goalkeepers in Europe and may well be a target for Napoli.

“No-one at the club, however, as asked me, frankly.

“Meanwhile, if for any reason Morgan were to leave Napoli, Handanovic could become a target. Samir, however, has been in Udine for a long time and the club is fighting for important targets every year.

“Even so, I think it is right that at some point in their career, a player will have the ambition to play for a large club. This, though, I mean in general.”
