Thiago Motta has launched a scathing attack on his former Inter teammates. “I didn’t get on with Esteban Cambiasso at all.”

The midfielder pushed through a January transfer to Paris Saint-Germain and never made a secret of how much he wanted to leave the club.

“I left in January, but had been clear with Inter that I wanted to leave a lot earlier,” Thiago Motta told Sky Sport Italia.

“I didn’t deserve to be treated like that, as I always gave my all for Inter. I had been clear with President Massimo Moratti and we’d reached a deal to leave straight away, but then Gasperini wanted me at all costs and the club decided to keep hold of me. I was very upset.”

The Italian international of Brazilian origin also confirmed the locker room is deeply divided.

“Walter Samuel is a very good man, I had a normal rapport with Javier Zanetti and knew Diego Milito from our time at Genoa. With the others and Cambiasso, though, things weren’t right. We didn’t get along at all.”

There are reports former Coach Leonardo, currently in Paris as a director, could go back to San Siro in a club role.

“I hope Leonardo doesn’t return to Inter, as we are doing great things at PSG and his work is important.”
