Inter’s Diego Milito says he would have sacrificed all of his League goals this season in exchange for silverware.
The Argentine netted 24 in Serie A, but his club had a campaign to forget after finishing the championship in sixth place.
“I'd happily have swapped all of the goals to have been challenging for the prizes we’re used to at Inter,” the centre-forward told Inter Channel.
“We're disappointed, but we have to look forward.”
Milito has already pledged his future to the San Siro outfit and he’s ambitious and optimistic ahead of the new season.
“We want to be in the mix right up until the end and playing for the targets we're accustomed to next term,” he added.
“We'll get off to a good start next time and at least we ended this season well, apart from the defeat at Lazio on Sunday.
“We must represent Inter as best we can. We'll try to do well in Serie A and also in the Europa League.”
