Esteban Cambiasso has reiterated that Inter will have to return to being competitive next season.
The Nerazzurri have had a problematic campaign which has seen three different Coaches sit on the bench.
“We have to close the chapter for this season now,” the Argentine told Inter Channel. “It’s time to recharge our batteries.
“A club like Inter can afford to have one bad season, but not more than one…”
The Beneamata have had a topsy-turvy campaign and eventually ended the term in sixth after a 3-1 defeat at Lazio.
“Talking about mistakes and making them known publicly would be a weakness for the team,” he responded when asked about his side’s problems.
“We’re fully aware of the mistakes we've made. The main thing is that we understand them and accept that it didn't come about by chance.
“We all know that if our season went the way it did it's because we didn't fulfil our potential – not because we didn't try hard enough.”
