Parma President Tommaso Ghirardi has valued Sebastian Giovinco at around the €40m mark on the transfer market.
Giovinco, co-owned with Juventus, is attracting interest from other clubs after 15 goals in Serie A this season.
Ghirardi, however, has warned outfits who want to sign the forward that he won’t be released on the cheap.
“How much is Giovinco worth? I ask you if he is worth any less than Javier Pastore or Alexis Sanchez?” Ghirardi responded.
Pastore left Palermo for Paris Saint-Germain last summer for €43m, while Barcelona netted Sanchez for an initial €26m – but that figure could eventually rise to €37.5m
“We don’t have the need to sell him and he won’t definitely leave,” Ghirardi continued. “Giovinco is calm about the situation.
“He wouldn’t mind staying, but like all players, he dreams of a big team. Juve can talk to us with great tranquillity.”
