Aquilani wants Milan future

Liverpool-owned Alberto Aquilani has not given up hope of being signed outright by Milan this summer.

The midfielder joined the Rossoneri on loan last August. Included in that agreement was an enforced buy-out clause, but the Roman didn’t play in enough games for it to be activated.

“If he hadn’t have picked up an injury then he would have certainly made the 25 appearances necessary,” agent Franco Zavaglia told Milan News. “That would have resolved a lot of the problems.

“We still haven’t spoken to Milan and I think we will get a clearer understanding of the situation in about 10 days.

“Alberto wants to stay in Milan, but he has two years left on his Liverpool contract and we’ll need to see what they think about it.

“Things went as they did, but there hasn’t been the final word yet.”

Aquilani, who spent last season on loan at Juventus, scored one goal in 23 League games for the Diavolo this term.
