Palermo President Maurizio Zamparini has confirmed that Siena’s Giuseppe Sannino will be the club’s new Coach.
Although Sannino will hold negotiations with his current employers at some stage today about his future, Zamparini is already talking about him as a Rosanero tactician.
“I’ll ask Sannino to create a team so that we can open up a new era,” Zamparini told the Giornale di Sicilia.
“There will be no specific target, we could even finish in tenth place, but I want him to build a team that plays football.”
Sannino, who still has a year left on his Tuscan contract, will be joined at Palermo by Siena’s sporting director Giorgio Perinetti.
“I expect Perinetti to give us some organisation, experience and serenity,” Zampa continued. “We were lacking in those areas this term.”
Palermo have been bossed by Stefano Pioli, Devis Mangia and Bortolo Mutti this season.
