Jose Angel says he would leave Roma this summer if Barcelona were to make a bid for his services.

The left-back has been linked with the Spanish giants for over a year and he admits that he would be attracted by the Nou Camp outfit.

“It is pleasing to know that you are of interest to a team like Barcelona,” he told Com Radio. “They are one of the strongest teams in the world.

“There was contact with Barcelona and Sporting Lisbon last summer, but no agreement was ever reached.

The 22-year-old moved to the Stadio Olimpico in July at the request of Luis Enrique, the tactician who has now left the club.

Jose Angel, who cost Roma €5m from Sporting Gijon, made 27 League appearances this season. He’s contracted in the capital until 2016.
