Alessandro Rosina of Zenit St Petersburg has admitted that he’d like a return to Italian football over the summer.

“I still have a year left on my contract with my Russian club, but I have to admit that it is my desire to move back to Italian football as soon as possible,” he told Radio Sport 24.

“This is my third year with Zenit and it has been a beautiful experience in terms of the football and life. I needed a cultural experience abroad like this.”

Rosina, 28, joined Zenit in July 2009 when they agreed to pay Torino about €9m for his signature.

The forward, who can be used out wide or as a second striker, spent part of the 2010-11 season on loan at Cesena.

The former Parma player has won one Italian international cap at full level. He scored four goals in 32 games for the Under-21 side.
