Alessandro Del Piero admits there are regrets at ending his Juventus career with a defeat, “but these have been fantastic years and I am proud of everything I’ve done.”
The captain played his 705th and final match in a Bianconeri jersey, losing the Coppa Italia 2-0 to Napoli at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome.
“There are regrets, because losing a Final always leaves a bitter taste in the mouth, but we have to look forward,” said Alex.
“In these last few weeks so many emotions have been mixed up together. These have been fantastic years and I am proud of everything I’ve done.”
Substituted in the second half, at the final whistle Del Piero consoled his teammates and brought them under the curva to salute the Juventus fans.
